Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information pog.tips processes and how it is used.

Information We Process

The service processes information you submit directly and technical signals used for abuse prevention.

  • Submission content (title, summary, body, tags, optional source URL, and optional MCP metadata).
  • Vote and report payload fields needed to apply trust and moderation workflows.
  • Hashed client identifiers (for example, hashed fingerprint and hashed IP values) for rate limiting and abuse control.
  • Turnstile validation data used to verify human interactions on write endpoints.
  • Attribution query parameters (`ref`, `context`) when you follow cross-site handoff links.

How We Use Information

  • Operate and improve discovery, submission, voting, and reporting features.
  • Detect and prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and policy violations.
  • Maintain moderation records and service integrity.
  • Measure handoff flow quality between pog.tips and pog.wiki.

Service Providers and Sharing

The app is deployed on Cloudflare infrastructure and uses Cloudflare Turnstile for anti-abuse verification on write operations.

We do not sell personal information and do not use ad-targeting trackers in the app itself.

Retention and Security

Content, moderation records, and abuse-prevention artifacts are retained only as long as needed to operate the service, enforce policy, and maintain safety.

Security controls include runtime validation, anti-abuse guardrails, and moderation tooling, but no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

Your Choices

You can avoid providing data by not using write features such as submissions, votes, and reports. Published entries and moderation actions may remain visible for operational and transparency reasons.

If you need a specific moderation or content review, use the report flow on the related entry.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date on this page: February 28, 2026.
